Graduates (1978)

Take a few minutes and fill out the graduates form by clicking on add your info and upload a current picture of yourself.  Your yearbook grad picture will be added from this end as many may not have access to their yearbooks.

It's been over thirty years and we've all changed and been busy with our lives. It would be great to know a little bit about you. You certainly can't look as bad as this guy from our old biology class!

A few years and a few pounds later... for the past 23 years, I have been living in the Washington DC area. I am a Regional Director for a media monitoring company.  Divorced with two sons, Barrett is 17, Jan is 11. I will see you at the reunion, and for the record, I rarely use the name QP anymore....

As a student at Power back in the 70's, found myself frustrated being on the short side and looking so young.  I could get on the TTC with a child's fare instead of a student one lol.  By grade 12, seems only the grade 9 girls took any interest in me.  Would there ever be any payoff?Well,  30 years later, am still on the short side but now look old enough to use a student fare ticket ;)  Might come in handy with the price of gas these days. Look forward to seeing you all in September.

I live in northwestern Alberta where I have been practising internal medicine for 8 years.  Married and with 4 kids, 2 teen boys and 2 little girls.  Sad to see the photos of those who passed on. Been away from T.O. for 20 years and long to see you all to reminisce on those magical 5 years (Funny, they just had a drive in move of Amer. Graffiti here for the city's 50th).  Hoping to avoid divorce I'm taking my wife to Italy, just the 2 of us,  the next day since we'll be halfway there.  Good memories of Father Kelly and others -I hope some teachers will be there.  Hope to chat some more on the "Guest Book" the next 3 weeks.  Big hugs and kisses to all,   Hugo

I am so excited about this reunion, always hoped there would be one and thanks to the internet I have been 'found' -and have found others along the way.
Not in my wildest imaginings could  I have dreamed up what the last 30 years has allowed me to experience. There are many more adventures to come, not the least of which is the upcoming reunion!
I did have a 16 year not so happy marriage, the only really wonderful part was the creation of 4 amazing human beings. Athena , Selena Rene , Calista, and Jonas. Just to clarify - Blasko is my birth name, Merk was an ex-stepfather's name.
I made my escape to Winnipeg almost 12 years ago where I finally finished my degree; now the proud owner of a BA Honours in History from the U of W. Will be heading back to the U of M (where I currently work) this fall with a view  towards a PhD in Classics-Mr Petko would be proud!
After a couple of bouts of less than good judgement, I am happy to say that  at long last I am in a loving and healthy relationship. Dallas and I will be flying in from Winnipeg for this evening of reconnecting and reflecting.
Looking forward to seeing you all in  September!

At graduation back in 1978, if any one had said we wont be getting together again until 2008, I think most would say that’s a lifetime away and we shouldn’t wait that long.  Well I suppose for many, this last 30 years has been a lifetime and our “Night to Remember” is long overdue.
It’s been a great journey so far and I hope there is a lot more time to come. Who could have imagined where we would all be.
I have been living in the US since 1994 as the result of a job transfer. I liked it so much, I just decided to stay.  After stops in Tampa and West Palm Beach, another transfer moved us to Phoenix 2 years ago.  I have been married to Allison for 12 years and we have a daughter Stephanie (10) and a son Scott (2).  It’s never too late to do anything.
I will be making the trip to the reunion in September and looking forward to seeing everyone again.  Allison won’t be able to make it as she will be going to Toronto later in September for her 20 year reunion and someone has to look after the kids.
See you all soon!

Summer of 2018
Just got back from Europe. Spent a few days in England, the remainder of 5 weeks in Malta.
Malta was chosen the European Cultural Capital for 2018. Supported my brother Paul who performed in Valletta on a few occasions. He played New Orleans style piano & vocal. Artisans from around the world. Old and new celebrations. The concerts, feasts, exhibits, historical sights, beaches and multicultural foods. Absolutely wonderful. Of course the Maltese Sun and hospitality too! Spent time with family and met some lovely new friends.
Now I am back to reality, my family here-4 children. My two youngest Noelle & Elyse, still at home with me.I am now Nanna to Aria & Gavin from my son Nicholas & wife Alison. Nanna to Luca from my daughter Helena & husband Daniel. I am so blessed! Time again to fly the coop! Looking forward to turning the clock back. Heartfelt thanks to Leslie & team for all their efforts on our behalf "Class of '78".

Wow 30 years, it only seems like yesterday. Then I look and see my 4 beautiful daughters and two wonderful grandchildren . I guess it has been that long. I  took over the family buisness, and it is still going strong.  I live in Bolton  and enjoy traveling and skiing . I am really looking forward to meeting all my classmates and rekindling friendships

What an exciting ride these past 30 years have been!!!!  Challanges make you stonger and show you what is important, in a way that my 18-year-old self would not have comprehended.  Looking forward to sharing all 1,158 of my photo albums with anyone who dares to ask....featuring Anna and Carla (22), Robert (20) and William (18).
Love,
Barbara Ann
ps just kidding about the photos, but it could be true, if I had time to get them organized, maybe for our 50th?
