The annual "Crooked Cue Christmas Get Together" held on December 23rd has been cancelled again for this year. Out of an abundance for caution it was decided to forgo the festivities and hope for next year.
Check out the "Christmas Past" page. That should bring back good memories and a few smiles.
Be careful, be thankful and be merry!

March 25, 2021
Hello Fellow '78 Grads.
What a rollercoaster of a year.... and the ride isn't over yet!
Not much has happened or been posted in over a year. Because of Covid-19 life as we know it as been turned upside down and restrictions have limited any gathering.
The annual '78 Grad Christmas get together at the Crooked Cue, held every December 23rd, did not happen in 2020 for the first time in decades. It is an occasion for all who can make it to enjoy seeing old high school friends and classmates. There is hope that things will improve so we can get together and catch up in 2021... fingers crossed.
Until then stay well and stay safe. We will get through this!
In the meantime take a look at the photos from our reunions and birthday bashes. Reminisce, remember when and smile.

"Stay safe, stay well"
Feel free to post on the "Guest Book page"
Let fellow '78 grads know you are alive and well and share how you are coping/helping during these challenging times.
God bless and watch over you and your families.

Tuesday September 11, 2018
The 40th reunion has come and gone...but most definitely will not be forgotten by those who attended. A wonderful conversation and laughter filled evening with over 100 grads from the MPSJ class of '78 working the room at The Vue.
A heartfelt thanks to all who attended. Without you the evening would not have happened and been as much fun. You can pack a lot of talking in to 6 - 8 hours!
A 60th Birthday Bash for next June is under consideration. If you couldn't make the reunion, maybe you'll make the 60th Birthday if it happens.
Until the next time take care and stay well my friends!

There has been discussion of a 40 year reunion in 2018 and this website would be home base for another event like our 30th reunion in 2008. Please consider a contribution through this website on the "Website Support" page.
On another note...we are trying to gauge the interest in a 40th reunion in the fall of 2018. It is hard to beleive that it has been almost 10 years since or last one. Please take a moment and let us know if you would be interested in attending if it were to happen. This can be done through the "Contact Us" page of this website or directly to michaelpower-stjoes1978@hotmail.com
Feel free to share any photos from our high school days or any recent get togethers with fellow '78 grads. New material keeps the website from going stagnent.

Where does the time go? the past year seems to have whizzed by....so much to do and no time to do it! I hope that 2014 was good to all of you and 2015 is full of good memories, love and lots of laughter.
It is sad that we have lost two fellow graduates this past year. This should gives all of us pause for thought, to think about what is truly important in our lives.
"Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional".
I wish one and all a very Happy New Year and a happy and healthy 2015.
Keep smiling!

Wedesday July 4, 2012
A belated Happy July 1st to all who still live in this great land we call Canada and a Happy July 4th to all '78 grads who now reside in the USA.
A few things have been added to the "Grad News" page. Most notably is the recent passing of Sister Imelda on Saturday June 23, 2012. She was a remarkable woman who lived a long and fulfilling life as a Sister of St. Joseph of Toronto. She also guided and nurtured many students of St. Joes for many, many years. May she rest in peace.
As we now head into the summer season I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe summer wherever you are spending it.
Have a good one!

Thirty-five days until Christmas! Yikes! Where did the past year go?
As you may have guessed the theme this Christmas for the website is Dr. Seuss' "How The Grinch Stole Christmas". For most of us growing up this TV show was a holiday staple/must watch.
The two songs (click music on the "Welcome Page") are from the "The Grinch" and are sure to make you smile and stir up some childhood memories. I've also attached the original "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" show at the bottom of the Welcome Page should you have the nostalgic urge to watch it.
As you gather and visit friends and family over the holidays I wish you and yours much peace and merriment!
God Bless and Merry Christmas!
Leslie:)
NOTE: I am pesently looking for contributions to keep this website up and running. If you wish to contribute please go to the "Website $upport Page". Thank you!

Friday November 20, 2008
I've been busy with a lot of changes to the reunion website for the Christmas season and more. You'll notice a few new pages. New music as well. Dr Seuss' "Your a Mean One Mr. Grinch" is the music for this week. I personally have always loved "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" since I was a kid. It brings back a lot of memories from years gone by. I'll be changing the music a few times before Christmas, so if you visit occasionally don't forget to click on music at the bottom of the "Welcome" page.
NEW The "Did you know...." page is tidbits of information and photos of our schools from the very beginning and I will be adding to it from time to time.
NEW The "High School Memories" page will be photos from the 1973/74 - 1977/78 yearbooks. For the Christmas season it contains all of the Christmas Assemblies from the years 1973-1977 that we attended. I forgot how much fun they were until I saw the photos. The photos on this page will be changed periodically.
NEW The "Jay Peaks, Vermont" page is a 1977 yearbook narrative and a number of photos that I recently came across while going through some boxes. For those that went, it was a great week so many years ago.
NEW Check out "Grad News" for the latest in grad news.
I would like to acknowledge and thank all of the '78 grads that have financially contributed to-date to the continuation of the reunion website. All of the contributors names are posted on the "Website $upport" page. You may contribute at any time should you wish to do so.
Don't forget about the "Guest Book" page. Feel free to extend any holiday greetings or anything else to fellow graduates at any time.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a stress free, relaxing, fun filled, safe and enjoyable holiday.
Leslie:)
Saturday November 8, 2008
You'll notice I've been moving things around on the website. I recently came across an envelope of pictures from the school ski trip to Jay Peaks, Vermont in March of 1977. I thought they would be fun to share with all of you since a number of us were there.
Thank you to those who have supported the continuation of the reunion website with their $10 contribution. The names of all contributers are listed on the Website $upport page. If you have enjoyed the website and wish to contribute to its continuation you can do so by clicking on the Website $upport page.
Christmas is fast approaching.....has anyone started shopping yet?
Leslie:)
P.S. I was at the AC/DC concert last night.......AWESOME show. If you are (even remotely) a fan try to get your hands on tickets for the January show at the Rogers Centre. I can guarantee you it will be well worth the money. My ears are still ringing!
Monday October 20, 2008
A new page "Grad News" has been added to the reunion website. Feel free to share with the rest of your fellow graduates any big events or important occasions in your life. Send info and pictures to michaelpower-stjoes1978@hotmail.com.

If you have enjoyed visiting our Reunion website and wish to financially contribute to its continuation, you are asked to consider a small contribution of $10.00. This can be done through the "Website $upport" page should you choose to do. Those who contribute will have their name appear on the Website Support page with our thanks and appreciation for your support
